Glenn MacDonald

General Specialties is a small family business that began with Glenn's boat building and marine fabrication shop in Alaska in the early 1980's.  He expanded to general steel and aluminum fabrication in Idaho in the '90s, and in the early 2000s, went full swing into our current focus on solar panel mounting systems. Glenn's broad welding, machining and manufacturing experience has combined with his desire to contribute to the growing renewable energy industry in such a way that last year, we sold over 500 solar panel mounts. With the help of Glenn's partner Amy, son Galen, and a few loyal employees, the business has increased it's production and sale of mounts each year of the last decade.
